Favorite DVDs
Sahara
-
Matthew McConnaughey, Steve Zahn, Penelope Cruz
-
This movie got bad reviews for Matthew, but it's one of my favorites of his! Plus Steve Zahn is at his funniest in the movie. You have to watch it just to find out what "I think we're gonna have to pull a Panama!" means. Action adventure with a bit of romance thrown in.
Eagle Eye
-
Shai LeBeouf, Michelle Monaghan
-
I was at the edge of my seat for this Enemy of the State like movie. Seriously, every time I tried to sit back, in about five minutes I was right back on the edge of the couch, tense as can be.
The Holiday
-
Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, Jude Lawe, Kate Winslet
-
Funny and heartwarming, definitely worth the watch any time of year. Tired of their lives, two women switch houses and continents and find love in the most unlikely situations.
Just Like Heaven
-
Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo
-
A sweet romance about a woman who has no clue she's dead and the guy who moves into her apartment.
The A-Team
-
Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley
-
I wasn't expecting much from this TV-to-FILM remake, but OMG, it's SO fun!!! Murdock is the best! (Nice scenery w/Bradley, too)
Life as We Know It
-
Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel
-
Fun and funny before and after the sad part where the friends die and leave their two best friends as guardians of their baby (no spoiler thereāit's a main plot point), this movie leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a smile at the end.
(And again, can't fault the scenery with Josh. )
The Cutting Edge
- Moira Kelly, D.B.Sweeney
- Wonderful example of a romance story...my all-time favorite.
While You Were Sleeping
- Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman
- Second favorite...no specific reason, I just love it. Also, I laugh
every time I see the paperboy fall on his bike.
New In Town
Renee Zellwiger, Harry Conick, Jr.
Oh my God, this movie made me laugh so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks.
Music & Lyrics
Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant
They're just so cute together, and
his song at the end of the movie puts a silly grin on my face as my
heart melts.
How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days
- Matthew McConaughey , Kate Hudson
- Matthew's hot, Kate's cute, and the movie is just so much darn fun!
Ever After, A Cinderella Story
- Drew Barrymore, Dougray Scott
- I enjoy Drew's version of the Cinderella character.
Titanic
- Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio
- The one exception to my personal Happily Ever After requirement...
because we get to see what Rose does with her life all because she met Jack.
One Fine Day
- George Clooney, Michelle Pheiffer
- What can I say, George at his most sexy-adorable.
Mask Of Zorro
- Antonio Banderes, Catherine Zeta-Jones
- Adventure, humor, romance and a sexy hero. What more could a girl
want?
Sweet Home Alabama
- Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas
- I dare you not to fall for Josh's electric blue eyes. Patrick
Dempsey's not too hard to look at, either.
Tin Cup
- Kevin Costner, Renee Russo
- Kevin's boyish charm is irresistible.
Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves
- Kevin Costner
- Despite the inconsistent accent, I fell for Kevin's Robin without
remorse.
Maverick
- Mel Gibson, Jodi Foster, James Garner
- I laugh out loud every time I watch this movie—at least 1-2 times a
year.
Notting Hill
- Julia Roberts, Hugh Grant
- Love Hugh's vulnerable character. Also enjoy watching just to see
his crazy roommate.
The American President
- Michael Douglas, Annette Bening
- Great movie, expecially the finally-taking-a-stand speech.
Better Off Dead
- John Cusak
- Older, off-beat comedy. I LOVE the Camaro (car)...it even has its
own website.
A Time to Kill
- Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock
- Very good. His closing argument in the trial makes me cry.
Ocean's Eleven
- George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Brad
Pitt
- Great entertainment. (And nice scenery.)
Frequency
- Dennis Quaid, Jim Caviezel
- Awesome twists.
U-571
- Matthew McConaughey
- Submarine drama set during WWII. Lots of tension, kept me on the
edge of my seat.
Back to the Future...I, II, and III
- Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd
- Doesn't matter how many times I watch the movies, I can't find a
mistake from one to the next! Great entertainment to last for generations.
National Treasure
- Nicholas Cage
- Loved the adventure and the history, loved his sidekick (Justin
Bartha), liked the romance with the exception of (what looked like to me) a
mis-placed, tossed-in-for-the-sake-of-it kiss.
Conspiracy Theory
- Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts
- Mel can play crazy-funny-cute like no-one else.
